Condoms and the Good Samaritan

Posted: January 27, 2013 in Uncategorized

In March 2004, 24-year-old Lee Collinson was stopped by police for driving without a licence.

His excuse?

He was on “mercy mission” to deliver condoms to his cousin who was about to have sex with his girlfriend.

According to The Guardian, the magistrate at Collinson’s trial commended Lee for his effort saying, “Carrying condoms to a mate who is in desperate need must be something much better than the good Samaritan ever did … When Poms ask Australians to define mateship, your circumstances could serve as a very good example.”

Nonetheless Lee was found guilty and fined.
